Robert W. Norris has been promoted to executive vice president of administration and operations, Calcot President David D. Farley said.

Farley also announced the hiring of Roxanne Y. Wang as Calcot's chief financial officer.

Norris, 60, has worked for the cotton marketing cooperative since 1969 and was named senior vice president of finance and administration in 1991.

As part of a realignment process within the company, Farley said the change would allow Norris to focus his attention on several special projects.

Norris is a graduate of Fresno State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration and is also a graduate of the financial executive program at Penn State University.

His prior assignment made him responsible for management of all company assets and liabilities, financial management and operations.

Wang will assume the post of CFO for the cotton marketing cooperative's $500 million annual operation, and she will handle finances, lines of credit and banking relations, as well as oversee accounting and management information systems.

Wang most recently filled that role for the cocoa division of Archer Daniels Midland, and before that performed similar duties for Grace Cocoa Associates. She has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California-Berkeley and a master's in business administration from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
