The 2013 Western Alfalfa & Forage Symposium is less than two months away and if you’re a farmer, pest control advisor, industry member, agency representative or simply interested in alfalfa and forage, this is a can’t-miss event: Dec. 11-13, 2013 at Peppermill Hotel Casino in Reno, Nev.

This annual symposium is your opportunity to learn more about the latest innovations, market trends, water and environmental issues, pest management, production practices and much more. These topics and others will be covered by expert speakers in an environment that will allow you to compare notes and network with fellow industry members from across the western region.

There are special sessions on corn and sorghum and silage making, pest management, breeding for a water-limited future, pest management, miscellaneous forages, and producing a quality hay product.

In addition to the diverse educational offerings, there will be an exhibit area featuring at least 70 exhibits of cutting-edge alfalfa and forage products and services.

CAFA will participate with an auction to benefit the Association.

The symposium is organized by the Cooperative Extension Services of 11 Western states.
