Opportunities are still available for companies and organizations to exhibit at the Agricultural Science and Technology Expo in Sacramento, Calif., June 23-25, but they must act quickly. The Expo will be held in conjunction with the Ministerial Conference on Agricultural Science and Technology, hosted by Agriculture Secretary Ann M. Veneman.
Exhibitors will have a unique opportunity to showcase their products and technologies and to meet with agricultural, environmental, science and health ministers, as well as other key decision-makers, from countries around the world. Technologies to be highlighted include those related to food processing and packaging, food safety, biotechnology, agricultural transportation, and soil and water management.
More than 125 ministerial delegations from over 75 countries have already accepted invitations to attend the Ministerial Conference and the Expo.
The Ministerial Conference and the Expo will focus on the role that science and technology can play in increasing agricultural productivity and improving food security in developing countries. Conference sessions will address access to technologies, new scientific research, the relationship between regulation and innovation, and the creation of partnerships to help developing countries adopt productivity-enhancing, environmentally sustainable technologies.
In addition to exhibits, the Expo will feature a stage for scheduled presentations, private rooms for exhibitor-delegate meetings, a business center and various promotional and sponsorship opportunities.
