The California Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers & Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) will offer two seminars geared to farm managers, agricultural consultants and those looking to enhance their skills and professionalism in the field on June 28-29. The training sessions will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, 520 West Shaw Avenue in Clovis.
Delivered in an interactive format, the seminars will cover a variety of topics and skills that are used in day to day business. Sessions on Project Management, Professionalism, Effective Negotiating, Budgeting, Principles of Leasing and Business Contracts are among the training modules. Attendees can select to take one or both days, depending upon their areas of interest.
“The training offers a solid foundation of skills for the farm management professional” said team instructor, Dan Whisenhunt, MBA. He added that the hands-on learning environment is very effective in teaching real-life practices and concepts as the attendees have the opportunity to work through examples and practical scenarios during the seminars.
The fee for each full day is just $199 and includes a continental breakfast, lunch and all course materials. The sessions are open to the public and pre-registration is required. The deadline to avoid late fees is June 22nd. Complete details and on-line registration can be accessed at www.calasfmra.com. For more information, call (209) 368-3672.
